Apple has reportedly signed a deal with HBO for the next season of its hit show Game of Thrones.
The show’s creators, George R.R. Martin and David Benioff, will be executive producers for the new season.
It is the second time that Apple has been involved in a television project in the past few years, after it teamed up with the BBC on a new adaptation of The Hobbit.
Apple is said to be working with HBO on a series of documentaries that will tell the story of the HBO show.
“The HBO Game of the Thrones series has already been one of our most successful series in years, with more than 300 million viewers, and we are thrilled to work with HBO again to bring more viewers to our products and services,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO.
